Rainmaker Energy Projects is a privately owned, independent power company, with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The company develops, owns and operates sustainable conventional and renewable energy generation projects under the principles of a project finance, non-recourse model. Our core activities include large-scale wind farms, and small (sub 50 MW) hydro-electric plants.

Rainmaker Energy's accrued experience is across generation technologies and includes site development, resource analysis, management of environmental impact assessments, equipment selection, and construction and operations of power plants. In addition, its project finance team has proven experience in large scale infrastructure projects in Southern Africa.

DORPER WIND FARM is underway

Rainmaker Energy's 100MW Dorper Wind farm has been selected as a preferred bidder under the South Africa Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Programme run by the South African Department of energy.
